This is an old temple of Karni Mata , who is none but an incarnation of Goddess Durga. It is her only temple in the world. The temple is famous for its crowd of rats. There are thousands of rats freely loitering around the temple and inside . All of them are black , though there are some white ones too. According to popular belief the person who gets a glimpse of a white rat , is bound to be bestowed upon with great good luck from the goddess. The place is quite enjoyable but the physical vicinity to thousands of rats will certainly make one feel a bit out of sorts.

Got here, and had our darshan within 15 mins. Temple is full of rats! During festive season, it may take 2-3 hours in darshan.

One more point to keep in mind if you are planning to visit here: there are many Prashaad vendors here who will ask you to keep your shoes with them, but there is a temple arangement for this, so don't get into their words.
