Good place... good environment..we can visit with yours family..Hindu marriages are be arrived here..it's not a famous place in khandapada..it's small temple of this area..

Many people don't know about the significance of this ancient temple. I don't have enough research to tell exactly how old this temple is, this temple is very old. Though the temple is famous as Uma Devi temple, it's actually the temple of five sisters. If you see the photos I have uploaded you will see that there are 5 idols. From left the goddesses are KALIKA, MANGALA, UMADEI, DURGA, and YOGAMAYA.
The ancient nature of the temple comes from the fact that I heard about the godess Umadei before 30 years from someone who was at least 80 years old at that time. She told that the Godess Umadei is very benevolent and she listened to all her prayers.
The second fact about the ancient nature of the temple is that Umadei was the Kuladevi of the kings of Nayagada Gadajata.
