Nice place for tourists to visit but best time to visit is during the Nrusingh Chaturdashi. The natural cool water stream is just amazing and refreshing. Here you will get the blessings of Prabhu Shree Marjyara Keshari.
When you visit, must visit Harishankar also. These two places are on the two opposite sides of the Gandhamardan Hill.

This place is Amazing. A temple where descrimination is absent on the basis of cast, colour and Relegions. Anyone can visit here.

This is also a picnic spot where nature's beauty more beautiful than anything.

This is also house of Gibbon monkey 🐒 living freely. It's also a botanical reserve for many medicated trees and herves.

A beautiful waterfall is near it, which attracts tourists due to it's beautiful scenery..

Actually I loved this place alot.

You must visit here for Picnic, tourism and also for photoshoot.

There was a very good place to visit, in this place the environment is very peaceful ,the Mountain Gandhamardan looks very beautiful due to the covering of green forest near Nrusinghanath Temple. The shrine farming different waterfalls and the sound of wild animals and Migratory birds are very amusing to the visitors.
•Nrusimhanath Temple is about 110 km west of Baragarh and 164 km from Sambalpur.
• History of the temple
Around six hundred years ago, a woman Jamuna Kandhuni as referred in the book "Nrusingha Charitra" in Odia language composed a Kavya that sings the glory of Marjara Keshari in regard to suppression and repression of torture and tyranny of Musika Daitya. According to the legend, when people were greatly afflicted by Musika Daitya (the incarnate Mouse Demon), Vishnu Mani in the appearance(Incarnation) of Marjara Keshari, in His Feline Form, ran to eat the demonic mouse form - Musika Daitya who never came out from the tunnel and Marjara Keshari waited from that day. The temple is reputed from that day with this mythological history. This story is symbolic of the grounding the demonic evil power of tyranny and torture that never dared to come out further and Lord Nrusinghnath alias Marjara Keshari has been guarding it since then. According to Huen Tsang, the Chinese traveler, this place was a centre of Buddhist scriptural learning. Lord Nrushinghanath is a much-adored deity of Odisha and a great fair is held in his honour on the 14th day of bright fortnight in the month of Vaisakha. According to Odia and Devnagari inscriptions, the temple was built by Baijal Dev in the early 15th century AD. The temple is a masterpiece of Kalinga Architecture of Deula style prevalent in the Odisha region of India.

Nrusinghanath is a famous visiting place of the district which belongs to the Borasambar Kingdom of the past now known as the Padampur Sub-division. It is 150 kms far from the district headquarters. The temple of Sri Sri Nrusinghanath is situated at the bottom of the Gandhamardan Mountain which is approximately 3234 feet high. Baijaldev, the 8th Chouhan King of Patna had built the temple. An inscription on one of the stone walls of the temple speaks of the history related to its construction. In the temple which is surrounded on all sides by incredible natural beauty, Lord Vishnu is worshipped as Marjara Keshari. The Govt. of Odisha has accorded it the status of a tourist spot to this place.

Perfect place in mother nature's lap. Very ancient temple of lord nurshingha. Mountain is the part of gandhamardhan range. Forest is full of natures goods n herbal tress like harida bahada etc. But Beware of the monkeys they are very mischievous. In order to get the best view of waterfall you need to trek to the kapildhar falls . Bhimkund is the lowermost fall where you could find old sculptures of lord bramha Vishnu craved in walls of the mountain as well of the panchu Pandavas. And a smell temple of lord shiva along the side of the stream. Prasad (pongat) is not available because of governments covid guide line. Do vist in morning and enjoy your bath in ice cold stream water. Otdc panthnivas is available for nightstay . Nearest town in paikmal (7kms) from nurshinghanath.
