Few years back nobody was daring to even look at the temple for a rumour that , the deity plays with the girl children & subsequently one after another the children vanished.
It is said that , the deity who was then in full form of a statue ordered the man( who was in charge of worshipping her) in dream to put her idol inside the earth making the head down & legs up .
Accordingly this was done & symbolically a head was put on the top .
The message that the deity conveyed in the dream was ", she is the Devine mother & just can't kill the girls".
Now after a few decades the temple has been renovated & so the visitors number have been grown substantial ly.
