Best place to visit during morning 7-8 during non Puja days to have proper and peaceful Puja of Shivji and Hanumanji... Also visit during shivratri...

The famous Goghar Dham of Lord Shiva is an important and pious temple in the state of Odisha. It is located 25 km from Rourkela and 3 km from Kangsbahal on the Sambalpur-Rourkela state highway.

The Shiva temple in Ghogareshwar was established by King Raghunath Shekhar Deo of Gangpur state(two princely state Gangpur and Bonai constitute the present district Sundargarh). The temple of Ghogareshwar on the banks of the Ghoghar River has a naturally occurring Shiva linga of black granite stone. During the Shivratri festival and the month of Shravan, thousands of devotees from different parts of Sundargarh district and the neighboring states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh come to worship here. There is a small waterfall near the temple, which enhances the beauty of the place.

Mismanagement by the workers the temple open at 3 am instead of 12 just can say only mismanagement in everything the peoples come in huge but no clear lines nor neat place panicable to see such condition In sawan mela you will feel totally sick over here seeing the conditions
