There was some renovation work going on around temple. We visited 1st week August 2022. Some worker and locals are there only. We were only only ones to visit the temple.

We didn't see any Priest in the temple either, one Lady came to us to give us Prasad from the Mandir.

There were a few stray dogs around. No parking fee or entry. No queue to enter.

Its bit 6-7 Km from Dawki to Shillong Road. You can visit here. Its feeling of calmness and relax life here away from city life.

This is a very beautiful Durga Mata's shaktipeet, but due to being Christine in this area, there is no supervision and care of this temple. Please save this place

Best place to experience the traditions and ethnicity of the ancient village and tribe that preserved their culture and religious activities. The best time to visit this temple is during "Durga Puja".

Ancient Shakthi temple. One among of the 51 Shakthipeets. Sati devil's left thigh is supposed to have fallen here. Temple is been maintained by Maharshtrian family for generations. Narithang Monoliths are nearby- can be clubbed along with the temple. You can plan this on your trip to Jowai with Tyrshi and Kram shuri falls.

Very less known shaktipeeth in Shillong. Few hindu families are taking care of this temple

The place needs much more care and publicity .. it's one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of Hindu religion. The left thigh of Godess Sati is belived to hv fallen here.
There are no sign boards. Google also seems to lose its navigation capability to guide you accurately to the temple.
It's locally famous so one can just ask and reach it.
It's looked after by a family from Maharashtra.
The temple is pretty old but has been recently renovated by Ramkrishna Mission.
