Closest station- Grant road. Take a bus or cab or drive yourself there. Make sure you have ample of time at hand.

The temple is beautiful but read up on the history to understand it better. Visit the Banganga, Parshuram temple and other small temples along the path.

Each has alot of significance.

Walkeshwar Temple, also known as the Baan Ganga Temple, is a temple dedicated to the Hindu god, Shiva located in Walkeshwar, near Malabar Hill neighbourhood, in South Mumbai precinct of the city of Mumbai, India. It is situated at the highest point of the city,[1] and close to the temple lies the Banganga Tank.

This temple is suitable only for locals and not for tourists. Temple timings in Google is misleading. Temple was closed when we went at 4pm. No board, no timings or contact information outside temple. Locals also don’t share any information when we asked about the temple. Very rude people in this area.
Don’t visit unless you lnow the temple is opened. We traveled from Prabhadevi.

Very religious and peacefull place. Please visit once. Parking is available at hindu smashan ghat, park your vehicle thrir.

Decent place for ashes immersion of your near and dear ones.

Nice place there are many small small temples around the lake. You have to take bus from any nearest railway station

One of those temple in the busy life of Mumbai.. where you will find calm. One of the fascinating point was ban ganga pond. Once at walkeshwar it seems you are not in Mumbai but a place which will take you back in time.
