The temple of Anandi Swami Maharaj is said to be over 180 years old and the environment inside the temple is enchanting. Every evening there are prayers and once a week they provide everyone with prasad in form of 'khichadi'. It is said to be Pandharpur for those who can't go to Pandharpur for Panduranga's darshans. The people around the temple are also polite and helpful. A few people sell incense sticks and books of 'bhajans and stories' outside the temple. Occasionally you will find people distributing Prasad sweets in the temple. There are bhandaras for a few times every year in the temple and hundreds of people, rich or poor, eat food together under blessings of Swami Anandi Raya.
