Wagheshwari Mata Mandir

Cleanest and calm place in Nandurbar. On occasion of dashehra looks awesome. Outside from main city. You can drive car directly to temple. Backyard area covered with windmills ( Suzlon ). There are many dogs. Nandurbar looks beautiful from this temple. Rocks are so big and some are arranged very smartly by nature.

Located in the the east side hill of Nandurbar, this temple is near to Dhule road, and second important place after Khodiyar Maa temple in the town.

In real it's 'Vagishwari temple' ( वाक्+इश्वरी = वागीश्वरी), Goddess of Speech that's 'Saraswati'.

This Goddess has to be worshipped strictly as Saraswati and not as Amba or Durga.

Initially this idol had Swan ( हंस) but due to gujarathi cultural influence and half knowledge, they removed the Hamsa and put Tiger as her vehicle, which is a huge blunder.

This Goddess is not Sherawali. It's Saraswati...

Nice place for Nandurbar residents for family visit for short time. If one came to Nandurbar and having time of an hour, can visit in morning or evening. It is a small hill located near dhule chaufuli. Place of prayers of Wagheshwari Mata. Small walking of about half an hour on hill. We see whole Nandurbar city from hill.
