another ASI managed monument... as usual ASI careless attitude towards preservation of cultural heritage... vast encroachment by slum... cave is being use to channelise sewage... human waste ..... this cave is remain identical only because having temple of Jogeshwari & Jogeshwar .. people should recognise the sanctity of place.

It's a place that I visit right from my childhood.
I have seen it growing and getting multiple finishing touches.
But I liked it's raw look that was present in past years.
During the plastic surgery they have made it post the authentic aura..rest all awesome..poojari and support staff are very helpful..

Well kept temple inside the cave. Saree to be offered can be bought inside the temple premise. No parking space for four wheeler and congested lane.

Holy place. The feeling there, the positivity all around, simply divine. The Ganesh in the cave, the eyes mesmerising. The Shiv Ling full of positive energy. All in all this place is filled with positive energy.

Jogeshwari gufa is very Holi and peaceful as well as historical place
The caves are located off the Western Express Highway, and are surrounded by encroachments. The caves are accessed through a long flight of stairs into the main hall of this cavernous space. It has many pillars and a Lingam at the end. Idols of Dattatreya, Hanuman, and Ganesh line the walls. There are also relics of two doormen. The cave also has a murti and footprints of goddess Jogeshwari (Yogeshwari), whom the area is named after. The goddess is considered a Kuladevi by some Marathi people, and also worshipped by some migrant groups from Gujarat.
