Gangs Ghat are the ghats on the bank of river Godavari in Panchvati area in Nashik . As this river is as sacred as Ganga ,
local people call Godavari as Ganga , hence Ganga ghat.
These stepped ghat are thronged by pilgrims on auspicious days ... for taking a dip in the river.
All ghats up to one km in length are used for bathing during famous Kumbh Mela.
But cleanliness of ghats needs improvement & local authorities should look in to it.
Ganga Ghat of Nashik is actually a ghat of Godavari River. The water here is not very clean. A lot of old temples are near to this ghat.

Quite crowded on weekends & auspicious dates. Good walk in the ghat though a little litterred. A beautiful statue of Lord Hanuman will make you stop on your tracks. Take a dip in the river, but be careful of the steps.

Good place of God .
People visit here for removing bad things from body.
River Godavari passes through panchvati ghat.
This place is famous because God stayed here for long time.n there is blessings of God .
It is located in nashik city near Dwarka circle main road.
People visit here for moksh of dead people by flushing burned ashes of people (ashti) .
Do Puja n mantra tantra for better next new life of that person who is dead.
That's it.
Thank you🙏.

Best way to explore the Panchavati and Tapovan area is take an Auto cum Guide. 3 hrs. This single Ghat combines Ram Kund, Laxman And Sita Kund plus the Ganga Godavari Temple. Plus Gautami Ganga temple that opens for 1 year every 12 years during Kumbh Mela only Crowded but relatively clean.

The most worshipped river of Godavari has turned in to a suwar. The Ghaat where Sita maa and lord Rama lived years ago has met very brutal fate. The ghats are extremely dirty and neglected by the government. At one hand Ayodhya has been celebrated but Panchvati is in to dusts. Most holly place is smelling of gutter water and the water is dirty filthy green sewage water. There is a prayag there and the river Kapila is just a small stream of gutter.
Absolute disaster for my faith and my religion belief.

Holy place to visit in Nashik city center. The Godavari River have special attraction and many more small n big temples near by.

You can also visit Sita Gufa and Kalaram temple which is walkable distance.

Experiencing the ghat of a historical and traditional river while understanding the significance of it, was one of a kind. Even though the water was unsterile, but still nurturing the decades-old customs is commending of some sort.

Parking shouldn't be an issue and you get to explore many temples in and around the ghat.

Very famous ghat from Nashik. This is a place where Kumbh Mela takes place once in a 12 years. Developed nicely but keeping cleanliness is always challenge as few thousand devotees visits every day for performing the rituals and dirt created out of that is simply unmanageable as overall cleanliness awareness of these visitors is very low. Good place to visit as pilgrimage. Many temples , idols are all across the river basin. Holy deep at this place is having great importance in Hindu religion.
