Bhagwati Mandir which is situated inside the Ratnadurga Fort & is a holy place and a must visit point for all nature lovers. I bet that sunset view from the hill is a worth time to spend with your friends and family. There is a small shop which serves Tea and Snacks, however one can buy the needed stuff right from the city. The best time to visit this place is September/October/November as the weather is amazing and less cloudy so you don't miss out the sunset part. I will honestly request all my fellow countrymen that do not litter as it spoils the cleanliness of the place. Ratnagiri name comes from the Ratnadurg Fort's name, though history does not mention much about this place but the place is still good. Ratnagiri is on the way of NH-17 which connects Mumbai and Goa. You can have speciality sea food of Ratnagiri, however for vegetarian the delight place is Hotel Mithila or Ganesh Bhuvan. There are lot of good resorts and beaches around the city, including Ganpatipule which is just an 30 mins drive away place. You can buy Cashew, Alphonso Mangoes, Amba Wadi, Fanas Wadi, Kokum, Kokum Juice/Aagal as these are speciality of Konkan.

The location of bhagwati mandir is on the Ratnadurga fort. This place is refreshing and peaceful.Reaching here is quite difficult it is preferable to take your own vehicle.View from top of the fort is amazing.Recommended place to visit in Ratnagiri.

It was well maintained and calm. Small temple. I was told that during festivals, it looks more attractive due to many small shops which were not available in the day of my visit.

Temple is very beautiful. Temple is situated on the Bhagawati fort or Ratnadurg fort. Distance is approximately 11 km from Ratnagiri Railway station. Auto rickshaw is available for transportation it takes approx rs.300.00 return fare.

Nice place to visit in Ratnagiri. This temple is located at Ratnadurg Fort. Parking space is there but limited. It's free parking. Around 50 steps you need to cross to reach here. Overall nice experience.

Devi bhagavati temple is situated at Ratangarh fort. Temple can be seen immkditely after entering the fort. Temple is still in good condition and properly maintained.
