This is the place where two rivers Kapila and Godavari during Kumbh Mela lots of people visit. Nicely Maintained

It is next to the lakshman temple (Shurpanakha temple) and it is a sangam of godvari river and kapila. But the place is very very poorly maintained and there is also a pungent smell because of stagnant water at some places.

Location : Topavan, Nashik
The name Tapovan is derived from Sanskrit words Tap, which means meditation and van, which means forest. Hence, the place was used by many sages for meditation.
Because of Laxmana’s act, a temple in his name is formed at this place, which is just a stone throw away from the place where rivers Godavari and Kapila meet (known as Godavari-Kapila sangam). At the same place, lie few holy water kunds (holy reservoirs).
Despite the heat, the place appeared pleasant and calm when we had visited it recently. We were told that this is the only Laxmana temple in the world.
Nevertheless, it was an interesting experience being at this place. More than the temple, the Godavari-Kapila Sangam was more remarkable. The area where two rivers flowing and the various kunds (Mukti, Agni and Sita Kund) reside was quite adventurous. There are also three kunds signifying Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.
On the far end one can see huge idols of Lord Rama, Sita and Laxmana.

Really Very nice place to visit. 4 main Attraction 🧲 to visiting this place at Tapovan Nasik. 1)Kapila Godavari sangam
2) nice garden attach to kapila Godavari Sangam.
3) सर्व धर्म मंदिर , all God murties in this temple except Islam.
4)Prabhu Shri Laxman Temple that is only one in India
major drawback of Garden this place is Can Not Maintain Garden properly becoz every year fload occurred here of Godavari and whole Garder under this water 🌊 nearly every years. and second one is there is no security that why the palce acquired from love 🐦 couple. and ther is found to much Condoms.

Sangam of Kapila and Godavari River. This is the place where Mata Sita used to wash her hair during the 1st year of Vanvas. Various life events from Ramayan has happened here. Book an auto, it will take around 300 rs. and give you a tour of these 21 places in Panchavati and Tapovan.

This is the place where kapila nadi and Godavari nadi meets at one place. And also there is 3 kund bramha kund, Vishnu kund, and mahesh kund. Need to maintain this place

A historic place, a religious Hotspot and an important location from the realms of Ramayana. Geographically, a very important place where Godavari river confluence with Kapila. The place offers mesmerizing sight after monsoon when water flow improves drastically. The place is important spot of Nashik Kumbh Mela and near the Ashok Vatika spot of Ramayana. Parking is bit of a problem during crowded days
