Temple of Devi Yamai is located in the town; apart from the one on the hill. The temple had an elephant for religious processions and ceremonies for more than fifty years. It was taken to an elephant sanctuary in 2017 because of health issues this temple is too much neat and clean and it is peaceful you can stay here to watch temple and museum this temple is situated near palace

Yamai Devi temple is in Aundh near satara. It's later mediaeval period temple. But in good condition.Belongs to pantpratinidhi family, Aundh. Their rajwada also next to temple. Deepstambh r very good condition outside the temple.

Temple is located in Aundh Village in Khatav Taluka in Satara District, some 42 kms from Satara City, just ahead of a place called Rahimatpur. There are 2 temples, one in the heart of the village and the other on the hill nearby. Both are big temples area-wise. They are understood to be around 250 years old or may be more than that. Predominantly, a deity for Marathi-speaking population, than for any other. The temple in the village is supposed to be visited first and then the one on the hill.
This temmple as worshiped by pant prtinidhi raje Bhavanrao of princely then state of aundh satara entire erechof the hill is neatly decorated steps take oyu up the hill now a motrable road is recently completed you can seethe vast srea of aundh town and nearby places a 6ft tall yamai idol is worh seeing the entire temple area is fortified by a big wall and burja.
One of the oldest temple located in Aundh Village. The idol of Devi Mahishasur Mardini in black stone is almost 2 meters high in a cross-legged sitting position. The idol has four hands and is carrying gada, arrow, trishul and paan patra.
Regular devotee are came from all over Maharashtra ,the number of devotees is more in Tuesday and Friday.

A very nice place for one day trip with family. Very near from Karad and the road is in good condition. There is temple of Yamai Devi and a museum of Shrimant Balasaheb Maharaj. The temple place is very spiritual and holistic. The museum is very nice and there is a collection of many beautiful paintings as well as statues and sculptures. A must visit museum for all the people.
If possible then carry your own food items while travelling beacuse there are so many places till the destination where you can enjoy your food. Because there is a quite shortage of restaurants and hotels to eat.
