Shahapur Samarth sthapit Maruti Mandir (11 Maruti)

Famous one of the 11th maruti temple is here at shahapur.
The Eikon of Maruti was created by Shri Samartha Ramdas Swami in 1644 a.d.
The eikon is made from lime, known as "चुन्याचा मारुती"
it is the first maruti among the 11 famous Maruti's of Ramdas Swami

The 1st maruti constructed by Samrtha Ramdas Swami in Shahapur.Very well maintained and a peaceful location. Just @10kms from Karad. It is the 1st Maruti of the 11Maruti in and around Satara. A lot of private buses ply on weekends to these 11maruti places for Darshana.

It is privet property as it is ancestral Mandir owned by Kaushik Gotriya Shahapurkar Kulkarni's Family. So homeliness environment and simplicity is seen.
Feel very calm and got mental peace. Holiness and feel proud to visit A Hanuman Murti (idol) established by Samartha Ramdas Swami.
No commercial activities , no stay facility as Mandir is situated in family's home area.

It is one of the 11 Marutis established by late Guru Shri Swami Ramdas 400 years ago. The temple is bit dificult to find and to approach. It is within the houses now. The main drawback is the visiting time. It from 6 in morning to only 1100 hrs so if you are bit late we cant get into the mandir. There is a window open kept to have darshan of the deity. The key is kept with the caretaker Physician staying adjoining. It is bit difficult for disabled. There are narrow lane to cross and steps to climb up and down. Parking has to be at the main road little away near the new Maruti Mandir.

Pratap Maruti temple is mainly famous for 11 Maruti temple series in maharashtra created by Shri Samarth Ramdas.They are famous spiritual saint in maharashtra.
Also very peaceful environment inside and outside temple.

You can reach to bhairawnath mandir ,park vehicle in open space . And Mandir is just 50 mtr away.

Shahapur is small village and Temple is nicely maintened.

Murti is 6 ft tall and Garbhgruha is big

Sabhamandap is spacious and can accommodate 60 people.

Pratap / Chunyacha Maruti Mandir (प्रताप / चुण्याचा मारूती) 6th temple one of the 11 Maruti temples( अकरा मारुती मंदिर )established by Shri Swami Samarth Ramdas in the vicinity of Chaphal-Satara area in Maharashtra, India. These 11 Maruti’s are also called as (वारीचे मारूती). Its establishment between Year 1644, Pratap Maruti temples Shahapur Located Near Masur, Tal Karad District Satara, Nearly 6 feet idol of Maruti which is engraved a stone. Its easy to find due to situated near Shirala Bus Stand, local people help to show direction to temple.
