Shree Krusangali Akurli Mata Mandir

Shree Krusangalidevi temple is situated at Akurli Village Kandivli East .This temple was built approximately in year 1845.Initially it was a small wooden temple .The present temple is a renovated structure .Around the premises of the temple there are temples of Shree Siddheshwar Mahadev,Shree Sitaladevi,Shree Datta,Dakshinmukhi Shree Hanuman.The idol of Shree Krusanglidevi was found at the base of a pond in the area approximately in 1845 and it was installed and temple built .Some also refer the Goddess as Shree Akurli Devi.The Akurli road is named after Shree Akurlidevi.On Magh poornima ie. Full moon day in the month of Magh as per Hindu calander year celebration on a large scale is held in the temple premises on the occasion of Vardhapan din ie. the day on which Shree Krusangli Akurli Mata idol was installed in the temple. In the month of Ashwin celebrations on large scale are held during Navratri days and culminating on Dassera.In front of Shree Krusangli Akurli Mata Mandir on the eastern side a tall lamp-post is installed ,in marathi it is called Deepastambh and a flag pole called as dhwajastambh in marathi.This temple is within 8 minutes walking distance from Kandivli station on the east side .Following auspicious days are celebrated in the premises of the temple in a year ,Maghi poornima(Shree Krusangli Goddess Utsav)in Magh,Mahashivratri in Magh,Holi in Phalgun,Gudipadhwa in Chaitra,Shree Ramnavmi in Chaitra,Shree Hanuman Jayanti in Chaitra,Watapoornima in Jyeshta,Shravani Somwar in Shravan,Shree Krishna Jayanti(Janmashtami)in Shravan,Haritalika in Bhadrapad,Navratri Utsav arambh in Ashwin,Lalita Panchami in ashwin,Maha Ashtami Homahavan in ashwin,Vijayadashmi(Dassera) in ashwin,Tulsi Viwaha in Kartik and Datta jayanti in Margashirsh month as per hindu calander.
