Meruling mountain stay & camping

A beautiful place to visit. Swayambhu Shivling with water coming out from it. Will be best place for nature lovers. Tough thing is to drive your car from bottom to up. Only experienced drivers should try .

Good place fantastic, trip happened but road is not good specially last 4kms about now a days very very bad and risky,only good condition car should be be taken with good driving skill.but once you reach there it's very nice place for satisfaction.it is about 18kms from anewadi toll naka coming from kolhapur.we should visit in day only.good view overall

One of the oldest temple of lord shiva. Wonderful trek adventure and greenary surrounding can be seen after come here.
The ‘Meruling’ a pilgrim location is situated on the plain peak of the highest mountain range of ‘Sahyadri’. You can view kanher dam view from top. Surrounding fresh weather calms mind.. Own vehicle is preferred.. Roads are not perfect but it is fascinating.. Nice place to visit

Old Mahadev temple at peak. Need to drive around 8-9 KM on single lane hills road.But awesome view in rainy season

This place doesn't require a review. Just go and take blessings of lord Shiva and return home with lot of peace.
About premises- Temple is very beautifully surrounded by mountains and greenery. So many historical things to visit here.

If you could, try reaching the destination from the side of Medha road to enjoy full stretch of the ghats. Don't forget to visit the secluded plateau nearby the temple. It has amazing view of Kanher dam and whole Satara is visible at the backdrop. The temple itself has its own importance carried straight from Mahabharata.

Meruling is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva built by Pandavas on highest mountain range of Sahyadri. Construction of temple is like a fort. It is being said that the Shivling in the temple is swayambhu.
The temple has historical side as well, there is a giant bell in the temple, brought by Chimaji Appa and the sound of the bell can be heard in many surrounding villages.
The temple has very scenic location, you get the view of Satara, various Forts, valley, mountains, etc.
There is amazingly beautiful plateau called as Banda Plateau, near the temple make sure to visit that too.

Holy and peace place. Ancient Temple of Lord Mahadev. There is a plateau on the very top named as banda plateau and the veiw from here is good. You can see kanher dam from the plateau....but the road in the ghat till the temple is in very very bad. condition....should keep in mind.
