Very peaceful and clean place. One large temple of lord Ganesha surrounded by some small Temples. It's situated on the bank of Krishna river. If you visit river bank at evening you can enjoy the colourful view of bridge at Krishna river.

The best temple in Sangli. I fill the temple premise is kept very neat and clean and upto the mark. Shri Ganesh is the Aaradhya of Sangli city and the temple is as per the repute only.

Nice & cleanly maintained temple. Worth spending some time inside during the non-peak hours when there is no crowd.

A very beautiful temple...If u are in sangli, do visit.Very well built & maintained. This temple is a historic place. I will prefer to go with bike, this is heavy traffic area most of the time because of market. The construction of the temple is started in1814 by Chintamanrao Patwardhan, the first head of the Sangli, to honor the guarding deity of the Sangli city. The construction of the temple took a period of 30 years and was completed in 1845. The king consecrated the idol of lord Ganesha in this temple only, in 1952. A red stone arch was erected in front of the Ganesh temple. The rest of the temple was completed during the reign of Chintamanrao ll. Vijay Singh Patwardhan has recently renovated and transformed this temple.
