Baneshwar Temple

The temple is very old and looks calm. Served our purpose of offering milk to a snake's statue.

Peaceful environment around. Away from the crowd. It is very old temple as it's construction tells us. At entrance there is Samadhi of first woman Sarsenapati of Maratha Empire Umabai Dabhade who was the wife of Sardar Khanderao Dabhade. His Samadhi too lies near the temple. Sardar Khanderao Dabhade was chief of Gujarat province during the period of Thorle Bajirao. Dabhade Gadhi (Small fort like structure) is in Induri just 5-6 km from Talegaon. Main entrance and walls are still intact. You can visit it also. Because of their surname, Talegaon has name as Talegaon Dabhade.
