Lord Ram gave Hanuman a quizzical look and said, "What are you, a monkey or a man?" Hanuman bowed his head reverently, folded his hands and said, "When I do not know who I am, I serve You and when I do know who I am, You and I are One

A Temple with Good Vibes. Finally, got to visit it & that too, on a Saturday. It was quite crowded but everything was systematic there so it went smoothly. Easy parking, you can easily visit the Hanumanji Temple & surrounding areas without hassle.

The Hanuman temple at Chagapur in Amravati district is socially very important. All the cultural programs of the village are celebrated in the premises of this temple. Also people from all communities of the village come together for the programs.
There is a large sized Hanuman temple in the village 'Chagapur', 5 to 6 km from Amravati in Maharashtra. The structure of the temple is very elegant and it has a beautiful antique stone idol of Hanuman about 4.5 feet high and 3 feet wide.
There is a dining hall, an auditorium, a very ancient well which has an underground chamber which can be seen above the water level or submerged in the water, people come from far and wide to see this well.

Earlier this temple was ancient in very simple form. But with increasing popularity, the temple was renovated. Solar powered lamps have been installed in this temple. Even if there is no electricity in the village, there is always light in the temple. Since the year 2000, Akhand Harinam ceremony was started in the temple.
Also there is a big Ganapati Idol, Devi Idol, Balaji Idol which is kept in a glass cabinet, the temple hall is big so all the devotees can pray together.
The features of this temple are,
1} As this temple is outside the village on Valgaon Road , the villagers have to use vehicle to go to the temple. Bus and Auto have a stop on the main road.
2} Since there is a lot of space in the area of this temple, many cultural events of the village are held there.
3} A large number of devotees come to this temple every Saturday to break coconuts, and maha prasad.
4} Villagers say that Hanuman takes vows in this temple.
5} The 'Akhand Harinam Week' program is concluded in this temple every year on Hanuman Jayanti. In this program, many villagers, from the youngest to the oldest, sit for Dnyaneshwari Parayana, hanuman path, bhajan Kirtan was held on each day of the program. On the last day of the program, Kala Kirtan and Kala Prasad i.e. collective village meal is done.
This temple is a cultural heritage of Chagapur village. People of the village have a lot of faith in this temple.
