This Temple was built in 1980 by Late Shri Shankar Ram Tiwari. The temple has been renovated thrice then and is known for the annual Mahashivratri Celebration which witnesses a crowd of approximately 2000. Bhandara is organised by the caretakers who are the sons of SRT. The legend has been that the original Shivling was brought here bare foot by SRT from Dighari Village that got submerged into Rihand Dam. He left all his belongings but did not leave his Lord behind.
