One of the 5 temple complexes of this type in this area, this one is hardest to reach as there is no road for the last stretches of 1km. Although once there the location is worth the effort as it's peaceful, clean, beautifully set in a gap between the hills. There are few temples here along with a small pond on top of the hill and larger water body nearby which can be seen from the top. Overall, a good experience, prefer going in the morning. There is some stone mining happening on the route, ignore them for your own safety.

Nareshwar Temple Complex, located inside Chambal Valley, Situated at Nareshwar Village in Morena District, Madhya Pradesh State, India. ️️🇮🇳️

These Ancient Temples Complex were built during the Monarchy Period tenure of Pratihara Empire, which was an imperial dynasty that ruled much of Northern and Central India from the mid-7th to the 11th Century CE.

Its a beautiful place. One of our local friend told us that it used to be a gurukul where they taught students to make these sculptures. There are group of temples also called as bateshwar group of temples. Seeing them destorted it really hurts. I hope government makes some efforts to preserve it and make it useful for the visitors to see. Its also listed as a UNESCO world heritage site located in the outskirts of the gwalior city at a distance of about 30 kilometres from the main city.

The place is not visited by many people. The temple complex is old. Needs renovation. It takes about ten minute walk to reach the temple from both ways. The place is awesome for one day picnic/outing.

Located on the outskirts of gwalior on bhind road few km away from maharjpura. (Make a left turn on kaccha road as you reach toll plaza). Then go further down the kaccha road, surrounded by farms and go further upto the querry used for stone mining. From there you have to walk across the hill around 1.25 km. This group of temples and pond is located on the bottom of other side of the hill and it is only visible when you are roughly 50m away from it. There are various temples of 8th, 9th century. There are so many broken parts of temples lying around. Currently ASI is doing restoration work at this site.

Beautiful and ancient place to visit. The problem is at last for 1-2 Kms there is no road, either you can go through the village or from main road and then area where mining work is going on which is according to Google maps, preferred to go through the village area and the main concern is your safety go with a group and ignore the strangers.
