Parvati Temple

parwati temple is very simple building in comparison with all other temples in Khajuraho near to Vishwanath temple

This Temple is located near Vishwanath Temple devoted to the Goddess Parvati Devi ,consort of Shiva.The Parvati temple is a small and one of the oldest.The temple is located in the western group of temples complex Khajuraho inside the temple complex.The side and back wall do not have any sculptures..Must visit with family and friends.

The Fourth Complex has the Temple of Parvati the part of Vishwanath Temple. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. The plinth of the sanctum and antrala has only survived. The Mandapa is completely lost. The Sanctum is enshrined with a elegant Image of UMA. However Historian suggest that this temple might have been built for any Vaishnav Deity due to Four Armed Vishnu seated on Garuda.

A nice place to visit and learn cultural heritage and masterpiece built by mediaeval Indian temple builder. These types of nagar style temples are rare in North Indian states.
