One of the major temples in Palakkad. Here the epitome is worshipped as goddess. Once in every three year we celebrate festival. People from all the surrounding gather to watch the most Special and famous ceremony of - Kambam Kathikkal (കമ്പം കത്തിക്കൽ) - early morning the very next day of Veliyavela. The temple has a big and spacious hall for conducting festival related programs. It's noticeable from a moving vehicle and has excellent parking area.

Vadakkanthara Sree Thirupuraikal Bhagavathy Temple is a prominent bhagavathy temple in Palakkad and it attracts many devotees from even the neighbouring states.
Devotees believe that the presiding deity here is is Kannaki (Karnagi) who came to Palakkad after burning Madurai, as told in the epic Silappadikaaram.
The temple festival celebrated once in every three years, called ✨ Vadakkanthara Valiya vilakku Vela ✨ is very popular for its unique rituals and grandeur..its a calm n charming place filled with Positive vibes..

One of the famous temple at palakkad dedicated to kannaki. There is also shiva parvathy temple attached to this temple. The ambience is good. The vadakkanthara vela and aarattu are the main events held in this temple.

The vast ambience will help you to get inside your eternal perception. The smell of freshly crushed sandal wood will act as a catalyst for your spirituality to gain the dominance over your day today corporate life. During the 'pooja' time a respective person who is assigned to praise the devotee by singing and percussion will make your day a bliss.

This is a significant Palakkad temple. The perfect example is a deity in this culture. At the interval of every three years, we have a celebration. Kambam Kathikkal is a ritual held on the morning of the day after Veliyavela, and it attracts visitors from all around to see it. The temple's large hall is perfect for hosting celebration-related events. It's easy to see from a car and has plenty of space for parking.
