The Sri Irumkulangara devi temple is Trivandrum's highlight, it is located in the heart of the historic city. The temple is really nice, rebuild around the 20
th century. It has 4 entrances.I felt Devi's presence very strong inside!!!
This is a sacred pilgrimage place , visit on the outskirts is worth if you are devotional or interested in ancient Indian Temple Arts. Puja is performed on a daily basis by the priests. One of the best time to visit is during Painguni Maholsavam, but be ready to be a part of the large crowd on the special occasion. The carving and the painting is awesome!! Very colourful. Wish they can somehow protect it from pigeons!!
This temple is a hidden gem & must be visited when in Kerala.

An old Hindu temple renovated in the recent past which has a rich background. It still maintains the freshness and peace of mind that one cane feel on a visit . The temple is famous for it's own forest area and the prefect balance between flora and fauna. One can offer pongala to the goddess which is the main offering on Karthika sign in each month.

one of the most ancient temples in Kerala. The temple is located on the bank of two ponds from where it got its name: "irum" means two and "kulam" means pond. It is believed that the temple has a relationship with the famous Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, one of the famous temples in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Goddess Durga is the main deity in this temple. One important aspect of the temple is that, the deity appears as 'Durgabhagavathi' which is an avatar of 'AdiParasakthi'. 'Karthika' is considered as the star of the deity.
A kavu (small forest patch) which houses the serpent Gods is common in Travancore. The pond in front of the temple gives a beautiful reflection of it.
It is about 1.8 kilometres to the southwest of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram city, Irumkulangara Road, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Main deity of temple is Durga Devi. Temple opens every morning and evening. During March-April, annual festival of the temple is held which lasts 7 days and culminates with Pongala. Also many small festivals happen occassionally throughout the year.

Very nice temple. Nice ambience. You will be surprised to see a calm place within this noisy city. Most of the time theres less people inside this temple.
