This is the birth place of one of my relatives. She is named after the deity, Anandavalli and Easwaran.
The devi's face is charming, in the light of oil lamps. The Shiva temple has a shivaling. They are back to back. Hence the name. This is the only murti of Parvati with a lotus.

Amazing old temple in Kollam..i had been on Pradosham day last time. Me and two others were fortunate enough to sing Shivananda lahari in Lord Shiva's nada and i was transported back few years to witness the fully lit walls of the temple and at the culmination, the utsava moorthy - the divine consorts taken on the nandi vahanam three pradakshinas of the temple and the paalpayasam prasadom completed the wonderful day...A new addition ( a dear little cow) has added charm to the temple.
