the place gives you an old pleasant village atmosphere...mainly during the sandya pooja with the smell of veg oil burnt lanterns and ringing temple bells. The temple Ultsavam which usually happens around March or April is a sight to see, By this time of the year most of the water surrounding the temple is gone or drained out and ultsav is held on the fields and after that the monsoon rains again fill up the place.
