This is a small temple with deities residing inside the cave cut out of the rock. Actually part of the main Shiva Parvathy temple temple, Kaviyoor famously known as Hanuman temple. This temple opens and 5:00 am and closes at 7:00 am.
Parking- there's no separate parking for this temple but one can park on the either side of the narrow road that goes to the temple. There are no temple office or places where one can freshen up

Very nice experience. Calm and nice place. Must visit during early morning or evening. These are the best times to visit the place. Be careful while climbing up. It is not very hard. But be a little aware of the slippery areas , especially when you are wearing slippers or something.
The location is inside the village away from the city. So the place is extra calm and nice. You could bring Kids too, but take care of them. The place is not dangerous or something. But everything aside , it is rock and has its own risk while climbing.
You can visit the place with family as well as friends.
There is a temple associated with rock .
It is actually pure art. It is so beautiful to see how a temple is built by cutting through rock. It is a work of art.
The people near Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Chengannur etc can easily visit the place. If someone needs a rest or peaceful moment while traveling via MC road can also have a visit.

This, more than 1300 years old Rock Cut Cave Temple, is of historical importance and is preserved as a monument by the Archaeological Department. Also you can climb on top of the rock and it is a very beautiful experience.
But take care as there are broken beer/liquor bottles around the rock. Throwing the bottles on the rock is pathetic.

Beautiful place... historically important the cave temple is dedicated for lord Shiva. U can climb to the top of rock cut cave to see the entire village. Their was no much things to explore... Will be good for those who enjoy historic places, trucking and Mother nature. Will be a good experience out in our busy schedule.

Pride of Kaviyoor. Lot of historic findings, rock cut sculptures and different stories are fascinating. Calm and beautiful evening treat, at the top of it. It is an emerging tourist place and they still lack some basic amenities. However we could see changes year by year. There was a watch person at the temple one time when I went. Then later I have not seen any one. There are totally three main Big Rocks and different sides to enter. It is so much fun. Kindly avoid climbing during rainy season or be careful at that time from slippery sides.
