One of the most ancient Maha Vishnu temple of Kerala. It's located within the forest outskirts of Mananthavady, Wayanad Dist. Renowation works are progressing without affecting daily poojas and offering. This place is famous for its scenic beauty and traditional rituals.

Thirunelli temple is an ancient temple dedicated to lord mahavishnu on the side of Brahmagiri Hill in kerala, near the border with karnataka state. A beautiful temple in the midst of mountain ranges and forest.A Place to offer prayers to the departed souls and offer rituals at papanasam stream. The route to this place is extremely blessed with natural beauty. However it is not safe to ride through those roads at late night or during early morning.

The temple has good parking space.Beautiful breakfast available in hotels nearby the temple.Stay is also available at a very low rate.

One of the oldest ancient temples in the foothill of Brahmagiri hill, of Wayanad Kerala.

It is one of the pilgrims centres in south india.

Well maintained and peaceful place.
Rooms facilities are available at reasonable prices.

Bus facilities are available from kutta, kalapete and mananthavady.

Visited this temple with historical, and sacred importance, during our recent trip to Wayanad. The place looked ambient, and the areas surrounding it, looked naturalistic, especially at the place where Papanasam is carried out.
But there were a couple of disappointments that we found here. I do agree that this is a private property, where they can decide their own rules, but it indeed was disappointing to see that non-Hindus weren't allowed inside. The worst was a sexist rule here, which permitted entry to men, only if they removed their tops. These sexist expectations from men shouldn't be overseen in a world heading towards equality.

One of the most beautiful temples in Kerala. The route to this place is extremely blessed with natural beauty. If you are lucky, you may spot some wild animals as well.
However, it is not safe to ride through those roads late at night or during early morning. We saw an elephant so close to the road at around 9 pm
NB: Please confirm that the temple is open due to covid related restrictions.

Very calm and peaceful place no rush was there during weekdays. Stayed in rooms provided by temple authorities just near the temple itself. Room included a bed bathroom attached and a table no other amenities for rs. 500 for a single room. They also provide you hot water if needed. There are hotels and shops nearby the temple. The temple is under renovation work but you can visit anyway.

Beautiful, vishnu in its real avatar. I have not seen such a divine smile of the God.
The temple is under construction, but worth visiting the place.
The temple opens at 5:30 in the evening time. Not sure about morning time as we visited in the evening.
Many lodging and boarding facility available surrounding it.
If you are planning for returning to mysore from here in the evening, please observe that nagarhole road will be closed by 6pm.
