Nuisance for the neighbourhood. Can't tolerate the foul smell of cow dung and cow's urine.Unorganized method of wastewater disposal which can cause diseases like malaria.

Jagannath Temple Gate Railway Station in Thalassery, Kerala

The temple was erected by Shri Narayana Guru in 1908. A statue of the guru was included in the temple complex in 1927. The Guru had a glimpse of his own statue at Colombo where it arrived on the way from Italy to India.it is a famous Temple.
About Sri Varuthoor Kaniyil Kunhikannan's role in the foundation of Kannur Sri Sundereswara Temple narrated in Wikipedia.
One such noble soul, Varathoor Kaniyil Kunhi Kannan heard many stories regarding the extraordinary spiritual activities of Guru Devan, and started looking forward to meeting him. After efforts of many days, finally he managed to reach a house in "Anju Thengu" where Guru Devan was staying. Next day he was able to have a discussion with Guru Devan at Shivagiri. He requested Guru Devan to consecrate a temple in Malabar, like those he had done in South Kerala, for the spiritual uplifting of Thiyya Community in Kannur. However Guru Devan asked him why such a temple is required in the land which is ruled by the Queen of England directly, with a lot of community members were highly educated, socially prominent and active in Arya Samaj and Vedanta Societies. Mr Kannan was able to convince Guru Devan that despite these, a large number of population are still following tamasic rites, and no one is guiding them to the right path. Finally, Guru Devan agreed to visit Kannur, in near future. Mr. Kannan came to Kannur and started working towards the aim with other prominent community members like Madhavan Master, Choyi Butler, Manikkoth Govindan Bhagavathar, Karyan Govindan Gurukkal, Chamakkali Kannan, Poovadan Krishnan, Chandroth Ananthan Mesthri, Oyatti Krishnan Vakil etc. They created an executive committee with Choyi Butler as president and Chamakkali Kannan as Secretary.
True to his promise, Guru Devan visited Kannur in 1907 and stayed at the home of Kottiyath Choyi. The matter of temple building was discussed again, and before return of Guru Devan, a committee was formed with Cheruvari Karunakaran Tahasildar as president and Chamakkali Kannan as secretary. In a meeting held on 16 February 1908, Sree Bhagaval Bhakti Pradeepa Yogam was formally established. This organisation was renamed as Sree Bhakti Samvardhinini Yogam in 1913. In 1908, Guru Devan again visited Kannur on invitation of Chamakkali Kannan and Kombra Kannan Master. On his visit to see the proposed sites for the temple, when Guru Devan reached the proposed site in Talap, he said this is the ideal place and is a Temple Ground. Later during construction, remnants of an ancient temple was unearthed from this site. After selfless efforts by these noble souls, overcoming a host of hurdles including financial problems, finally the temple was constructed, and consecrated by Sree Narayana Guru Devan at a muhoortham between 3 AM and 3:20 AM on 11 April 1916, during the ascendancy of Pooyam (Pushya) star.

ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരു ഉത്തര കേരളത്തിൽ ആദ്യമായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തിയ ശ്രീ ജഗന്നാഥ ക്ഷേത്രം...
Jagannath Temple in Thalassery is one of the best loved temples in Malabar. Sree Narayana Guru consecrated the temple in 1908. Guru allowed people of all castes to enter into the temple. Gnanodaya Yogam is managing and administering the temple. This temple is a reminiscent of Jagannath Temple, Puri. Visitors can also see a statue of Sree Narayana Guru made of Panchaloha by the famous sculptor, Thavarali (The Sanskrit world, Panchaloha means ‘five metals’). The statue is built in Italy as an appreciation of his contributions for the development of backward classes in Kerala. This statue was installed in the temple complex in the year 1927. The statue arrived from Italy through Colombo so Guru could get glimpses of it before it reached Thalassery. Visitors also loves to feed the cows in the temple compound. Simple but Beautiful Architecture The Jagannath Temple at Thalasseri has simple but fascinating Kerala-style architecture. It has sloping roof with red clay tiles and white-washed walls. The wood carvings on the ceilings of this shrine are truly eye-catching. There are no windows for the main sanctum (sreekovil). No other person enters this area other than the priests. A well is there near the temple and the water from it used only for pooja and rituals. You can also see a pond on the temple premises. One can enter the water of this pond safely by using the steps that cut on all sides of it. There is an elegant fountain in the middle of this pond with four elephant heads. Major Festivals of Jagannath Temple The annual festival of Jagannath Temple is in the month of Kumbham. It starts on the day of Punartham and lasts for eight days. A lot of people from far and wide gather at this temple during this time in order to watch different cultural programs and fireworks. The Rath Yatra festival of this temple is also very famous which is celebrated in the month of May-June. In fact, it is celebrated during the month of Jyestha on the full moon day.

Jagannath temple, Telicherry. Visited this temple during a marriage ceremony. The temple and it's surrounding are very clean. A clean/huge water pond is availabe in the same compound. There are several people are visiting this temple each day mainly for their morning prayers. One of their (temple's) annual cermony, there are several 'Viewer's Death' happened near to a railway station, where people were watching the night program. 😲🤥😔

One of the best peaceful and beautiful place.
This temple is consecrated by the great renaissance leader, Sree Narayana Guru in 1908. It is one the most important landmark in thalassery. The main deity of the temple is Lord Siva.
There is unique festival here which is very important for the people in thalassery.
The crowd, fireworks etc.. all make it a wonderful place during that festival. Some of the attractions of the temple are its unique wood carvings and a statue in the middle of a pond with a thrishul.
A statue of Sree Narayan Guru built in Italy was also installed in the temple and ther is a museum dedicated to the guru.
