It is situated in Kappikkunnu, 5 km away from pulpally town. This temple is surrounded by forest and it is believed that this temple us 2,500 years old. The shrine is round shape. The main idols are Siva and parvathy,Ganesa, Ayyappa, are worshipped here. The serene and calm atmosphere of this temple attracts many people to this site.

Near the kapikunnu shiva temple there is pre historic rock engravings on a small single

☆In this engrave we can see one deer and one circle on the top of the rock there is two carvings exactly like the human foot print

☆This engravings are drawn in iron age period because the rock is very had than the edakkal cave because of that I think this is drawn by if one tools

this had no relation with stone age period

The temple is situated in Kappikkunnu. It is a small village 5 km away from Pulpally. The temple is surrounded by forest. It very clam and quite place. Shire of the temple is believe that 2500 years old and it is made single rock.

Inside the reserve forests over the Western ghats, the place holds a lot of mystery. There was a fort around the place. Strange engravings on the rocks....!?
