Valiyalukkal Bhagavathi Temple, Kanimangalam

Kanimangalam Valiyalukkal Bhagavathi Temple is located four kilometers away from Trichur town. The temple is built on the farthest end of an impressive compound. Kanimangalam pooram is one of the small poorams participating the famous Thrissur pooram. Kanimangalam Sasthavu is the first God who participates in the Thrissur Pooram festival. He starts his journey to the pooram at 4 o'clock in the morning on the day of pooram. He reaches the Vadakkumnathan temple at 5:30 in the morning. Only then the famous Thrissur pooram starts. Kanimangalam also houses a Government Women's Polytechnic, S.N.Boy's High School, S.N.Girl's Higher Secondary School and Little Flower Convent Primary School , St therasas CLP school kanimangalam.
