Madhya Ranga Shree Ranganathaswamy Temple, Shivanasamudra

A temple with the sculptures all over.
It’s a on way temple to Shivanasamudra falls.
Though Shivanasamudra have timings from 9-5 so travel accordingly.
It’s around 100 kn from Bangalore.
A quick get away from Bangalore.
We really liked the roads and surroundings around.

It is a historical and Hindu holy place in shivana samundra, it is also called madhya ranga or mohana ranga, now the temple is under renovation so it is closed until 2024, so they have arranged another murthy and done prana prathistana for puja and darshan, it is just in the main road, it is the second or madhya ranga of 3 rangas, I did visited all 3 on 25th of February 2020, if anyone visiting and need information, please write, I will answer as quickly as possible.

Madhya Ranga is famous pilgrimage centre where Sri ranganathaswamy 's temple is situated on the banks of River Cauvery which flows on both the sides making this place an island. This is the second temple of Sriranganstha, first one in Srirangapattana and third one at Srirangam and all the three places are islands formed by Cauvery. Now the temple is under renovation and Moola moorthies of Sriranganatha and Sri Ranganayaki are temporarily installed in an adjacent building where devotees can get darshan

Visited in the late evening, got to know some renovation work is in progress. Had Darshana to utsava murthy which is next to main entrance of temple

Very nice temple had visited in past and it’s must visit.
Currently under renovation but moola vigraha (main deity) is kept for Darshana

Among three Main Ranganatha Temples in South India(Adiranga-Srirangapatna, Madhya Ranga at Shivanasamudra and Anthyaranga at Srirangam), Madhya Ranga is one of the divine temple of Sriranganatha. One of the most gracious and beautiful idol to watch it. However, due to the cracks developed in the temple, this temple is under renovation and development. As per the temple authorities report the temple is expected to be open by 2024-25. Also, for the sake of devotees & tourist attraction, the state govt.(mujarai elake) has taken initiative to install an alternative idols of Sree Rangnatha and Ranganayaki beside the main temple.
