Supposed to be the Little Tirupathi , the shrine stands on an elevation named Tirumale. The architecture has undergone many changes down the ages and pillar sculptures do not have much artistic merit , but rather crude. One unusual feature is that there are two huge stucco figures of men riding elephants, flanking the portal to the inner chambers. In addition to the well adorned deities in the sanctums, there is a smaller Ranganatha figure on the wall behind the garbhagriha which is famous as Beleyo Ranga ( the icon is believed to be growing in size ). Interestingly, there is a staircase to access the roof , from where one can see the shikaras up-close .

Love the fact that everyone is invited.
Beautiful place to go to.
Like the Saligrama was brought in by Mandavya Rishi.
When you go here, you can sort of take a clear decision. I had a clear view when I went here.
It is close by from Bangalore.
Make sure you drive attentively, the terrains change faster.

ತುಂಬಾ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ದೇವಾಲಯ.

Lovely lovely temple. Historic temple in a quaint little village. The lord here is known as Paschima Venkatachalapathi. Sri Venkateshwara is the main deity. Along with it, there is Sri Ranganatha swamy presided by Sridevi ammavaru and Bhudevi ammavaru. Not a very big temple but the main murthy of the God is brilliant. There is certain serenity and old world charm. Very near to the city, less than 2 hrs. Must visit.

Excellent and very very old temple with a history. Beautiful diety of Ranganatha. There are also ditties of Lakshmi, Krishna, Devi, Ganesha, Hangman and others.
Very pleasant surroundings .
Abhisheka finishes at 8.30AM and you will have to wait for 1 hour before you can see the Lord again after Alankara.
Lunch is served around 12.30.

This is a very sacred place as mentioned in the Bramhanda Purana where sage Mandavya did 'Tapas'. Later in 11-12 century, Cholas built the temple in Dravidian style. Other than Ranganatha Swami, it has temples of Vainyateya (Garuda), Lord Rama, Sita, Hanuman, Krishna, Sarojalatika (Lakshmi), Alwars, beleyuva Ranga and Sudarshan. Daily lunch prasada is served. Temple is calm and peaceful.
