No words to say about Sringeri... Sringeri is my favourite place on the earth... This Durga temple is about 5 kilometres from the town Sringeri... There are many beautiful temples to explore around Sringeri... This is my first visit to Durga temple... It's very powerful and beautiful temple... Calm and cool Nature makes your mind relax and refills energy to you....

Most beautiful ambience to sit quietly and meditate or worship Devi Durga. Kerala styled architecture, nestled amidst forest and mountains. This temple is maintained by Sringeri Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharadambe's mutt. Every worship is held both in the mornings and evenings. Durga Saptashati Paaraayanam is also done. The speciality of this Temple's Garbhagudi is that a Swayambhu Lingam is also there! Lord Ganapathy and Lord Subrahmanya's small idols are kept just outside the garbhagriha and poojas are offered to them too. In the phalguna maasa, Shukla ashtami day, Durga Rathotsava is held with lot of devotion and hundreds of people come all over from the neighbouring villages to attend the Rathotsava. His Holinesses both Sri Mahaasannidhaanam and Sri Sannidhaanam arrive here around 11.30 am and Sri Mahaasannidhaanam Himself sits and does the Pooja to the accompaniment of Vedic Chantings by the Ritwiks (Veda Pundits). A public fair or Jaatre is also held when vendors throng the place, put up their stalls on the road side and sell their wares, which is very colourful and attracts people to buy the things. On special occasions like the Rathotsava, the temple elephants also are brought here from Sringeri temple and they too offer their devotion to the Devi.

Temple is good and too close to sringeri main temple. small roads but well maintained. with lot of peaceful empty space around.

Very divine and peaceful place for Worshiping Devi. We can do JAPA, Meditation & Chanting silently the Sahasranamam of Lalitha or our beloved God. All Spiritual Seekers & Saadhakas must visit this place. We can go by walk, hardly it takes 30-35 minutes by walk from the main Sringeri Sharadamba temple.

Very nice place to visit. The vanadurga temple has a sacred history attached to Shri Shankaracharya. Unfortunately, could not see the Goddess due to lock down closure of temple. Need to visit agian. It is really almost like in a forest with greens everywhere.
