When I visited it was locked, outside gate itself. Very disappointing. Atleast they could keep open the outside gate.
As per a story(purana/janapada), this hills was the place of this god, Gangadhareshwara and later on God Ranganatha.
I was also told it will be closed on Sundays, so people who only make time and visit on Sunday's, may never get opportunity to see this god.

Now a days they are not allowing inside but good to visit place while visiting to be hills
