A very calm and peaceful place located in thirthahalli. Behind the temple, a beautiful river Thunga flows which is a treat to watch from the temple premises.

According to mythology, Lord Rama had visited this place in search of Devi seeta ma that time he worshiped lord Shiva to get seeta devi. Very beautiful place to enjoy at all time. We loved it very much.

Lord parashurama got shapa vimochane here of her mother's.

Sri Rameshwara Temple is the main temple of Thirthahalli situated on the banks of the river Tunga. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple has a Lingam which is said to have been installed by Sage Parashurama himself and therefore the temple is considered Parashurama Thirtha.
