This place is very nice where we can have a weekend ride along with peace nature. A group of friends can have a good day trip. And it's a photogenic location for photo shoots.

It's a very nice and serene place. Peace and tranquil. Very old structures and sculptures are still there. It has to be maintained. Will make you remember the past glory and admire them.

No one will disturb you to do pooja or ask for money. A genuinely nice temple to visit.

Not much crowded and a lot of free space is there. Also a beautiful multi colored chariot is placed outside the temple.

Historic temple at Avani. There is a hill behind the temple which is good for trekking. It takes around 2 hours to complete the trekking. Good to visit early morning if you are planning for trekking.

I went to the avani temple and hill which is behind the temple last week. I had a nice experience. while climbing up, I saw lotus pool and fish pool. then I reached the top. The view of the top was wonderful.

Incredible architecture from the Cholan empire i.e around 1200 years ago. Intricately carved stones depict important occurrences and show the knowledge of sophisticated techniques and methods people of those times had.
Must visit ✅

Historical place.. You can visit this place with two prospects, one as a temple place and second as a trekking place. I went on a weekend and it was not crowded at all.. spent very good and peaceful time in the temple premises enjoying the Chola Architecture. There are several temples at the base point and also if you want to trek up the hill there are several temple there too. It is believed the temples here have a connection with Ramayana Times as explained to us by archakaru.

* No entry fee
* Parking is free, Car, Bus, TT can easily go till temple basepoint. For temple on top of mountain one need to take steps
* Takes about 30 mins to see the temple at base point and about 1hour to and fro to trek and see temples on top
* No food joints near the temple, some snack shops available so better to carry own food.
* Washrooms available

Request: It's a historical place, please maintain the serenity of the place by keeping it clean when you visit.

So much history in one place - starting with this temple complex. It is being restored currently. It still looks beautiful though ❤️ please do look up at the ceiling to see some amazing carvings. It is a functional temple and Pooja is held regularly. Place has been maintained extremely clean - so please keep it that way. And do enjoy 2000+ old year history 😍

It is an ancient temple in Avani village. It's old and has lots of history. Temple looks so beautiful and peaceful. Vist once it will calm you.
One request please don't write or carve on the temple walls. Don't show your love in that way by writing on the walls , by drawing or carving hearts.
Save Indian heritage. 🇮🇳
