Its a holy & very beautiful place. The name of the village Sogahally is derived from the name of its Godess Sogalamma. Our village was relocated around 50 years ago for the Kabini project. This place was a dense forest then (1970) and now (2019) also its very much nearer to the Rajiv Gandhi National Park of about 3 Kms.
