It is one of the oldest temple in Belur which was built before the construction of Lord Chennakeshava temple.Out side the temple you can see another Shiva linga named karigalleshwara which was first inside the temple after that it was damaged by enemies in past later it shifted out side and new one has placed inside.

Lord Shiva temple. Very old temple. Well maintained. You will love the Nandi statue inside the temple.
