The Nuggikeri Hanuman Temple is oldest and famous hindu shrine in Dharwad.It is at a distance of 7 kms from Dharwad & 20 kms from Hubli Karnataka. An ancient Nuggikeri Hanuman temple is on the bank of Nuggikeri lake, is also known as Balabhima.
There is a Deep stambh in front of raja gopuram. Lord Hanuman diety is about 5 ft. in height and made of granite and has a distinct grace in the idol.
This temple is owned & managed by reputed Desai family. Local rush can be seen on Saturday ( auspicious day of God). Devotees from different regions come to this sacred place all year round.
There is a beautiful lake that attracts visitors to spend some time in calm & peaceful atmosphere.
Temple is clean and has plenty space for parking also.

Nuggikeri Hanuman Temple (ನುಗ್ಗಿಕೇರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ) is one of the oldest and popular Hindu temples in Dharwad, The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Hanuman and the temple complex also houses other deities viz. Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Goddess Saraswathi, Goddess Durga, Goddess Santoshimata, Lord Venugopala Swamy, and Lord Jagannath. The temple is located at the airport road and 18 km away from central Hubli, Dharwad, Karnataka. Devotees come from different regions to this temple. Due to Vishesha Divasa for Lord Hanuman this place gets crowded every Saturday and on Hanuman Jayanti.

The divine power of Hanuman is present here. You can feel the total bliss and peace of mind when you are present at this place. It’s 18kms away from Dharwad. It’s fully crowded on Sundays, but on weekdays you can easily get the Dharshan of Lord. It has 2 ways. One way you need to stop vehicle half kilometre away and need to take a walk and another one you can take your vehicle directly near the temple. Follow the route given by Google Maps. Very clean and blissful. You can visit anytime with personal transport. Public transport also exists. Saturday is crowded but it’s good. You feel the essence of calmness and nature.

Beautiful temple with lake in the surrounding ! Temple is very well maintained with plenty of parking space. Road leading to the temple is patchy is few stretches. One can enjoy a nice walk by the lake side after visiting the temple.

Very beautiful temple on lake side, visited it after long time. I could see significant change in terms of cleanliness and parking facilities.

We parked near walking path opposite to lake and walked alongside lake to temple.
