The atmosphere here is nice, comfortable. People from far and wide come to worship because of their faith in the temple. The behavior of the local people is very nice.

We visited this place on Saturday afternoon.. the place was not busy at that time.. so yes off timing is good if you just want to visit the temple..

It is a durga maa temple. Van-devi. The priest allow the people to pray in their own language and way (adivasi way). You can offer Bali in this mandir. Nearby temple you can see food stalls, small hotels under tent. They serve mostly, dhuska, aloo sabji, idli, puri-sabji, malpua, jalebi, chips, water etc.
Behind the temple there is forest kind of ground but people use it as picnic spot also. After the Bali is done, you can ask the shopkeepers to prepare it for you, like to cut the goat or chicken whatever you have offered. Then you can cook it at your picnic spot behind the temple.

This temple is going to become more famous in future like other famous temples near ranchi due to its location.
This would become a good picnic spot due to the awesome location near this temple.
This is still under renovation and the infrastructure is going to improve a lot in future and due to the open environment has scope of improvement in near future .
Here Bali's can also be provided to god's .
The roads from Other important location like Ranchi, angrabadi is simply awesome so you can definitely enjoy the small road trip to this location.

Maa Sonmer temple situated in Khunti district is very beautiful. A warm welcome to all of you here. The environment around the temple is very nice.
