Kolleshwari Pahar (A hill) located in the outskirts of chatra district which can be travelled to from Huntergunj (5-7kms) a small block town, a devi temple situated atop Kolhua Pahar of devi Kolleshwari has some historic significance which is not very known and exposed to the general public.
If one pays close attention he/she can notice a kind of boundary wall made of rocks around the perimeter of devi mandir which signifies it as bearing some historic importance. On the hill there are some other temples as well situated on the hill of lord shiva and some other, there is a large pond /lake on the hill and one smaller one also.
People gather here in the Month of Chaitra during Ramanavami and the whole hill is jam packed with devotees from al around the state.
Visiting here in the off season (other than Ramanavami) is a great fun.

Apart from presence of goddess .......there's nothing at all.... Even basic amenities like urinals, scarcity of drinking water..... Even worse is the crowd management during special occasion.... It's one hell of the experience to be there..

Kauleshwari mountain with approx 700 stairs best suited to climb in humid weather or in season when lots of people climb to worship goddess kauleshwari and making wishes........
Bt over all this you can climb mountain, pray to goddess in any season or any time..😊

Kauleshwari hill lies about 6 miles south east of Hunterganj. At hunterganj one has to cross the lilangen river which is now bridged and jeep or walk through the uneven track to the foot of hill. The height of the hill is 1,575 feet and from the top one can find an excellent view. The top of the hill is quite distinctive and is known as ” Akash Lochan”(Sky Eye). There are some ancient temples, the most important of which is a temple of ‘ Kali’ known as ‘Kauleshwari Devi’.

The temple of Kauleshwari Devi is positioned above the Kolhua hill in Chatra. The hill, which is an international tourist hotspot, is a confluence of the Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist religions. Kauleshwari Temple, Shiv Mandir, Jain Temple, and Buddhist temples are situated in the center of the mountain's tender landscape.
The top of the hill is quite distinctive and is known as ” Akash Lochan”(Sky Eye). You can enjoy the breathtaking view of the natural grandeur of the three lakes and the woods surrounding it.
Very holy place🙏
