Shivganga

You should take a bath in shivganga before worship in baba baidhyanath temple.. i have also taken a bath in shivganga.. i enjoyed a lot but Government or public should be aware towards cleanliness.. Bank and stairs of this pond are not so clean.. Bdw we enjoyed it...

Shiva Ganga is a religious and holy pool. According to our beliefs, this pool (Siva Ganga) is made by KING OF LANKA (present @SRILANKA) RAAVAN. When Shiva Linga was given to Lord Ravana by Lord Shiva and when he was going to Lanka with him, Then they had to get down here (@Deoghar) due to urination and they gave that Shiva Linga to a cowherd and they went to urinate. When he came back, there was no water to wash his hands,Then they hit the ground with their strength and threw water out, and that place is currently known as Sivaganga.

Generally people take bath before proceding pujo OF LORD SHIVA BAIDYANATH
It is often believe that the water of this never dry as there is secrete kund in the middle of the pond from where water is continuously flowing

I don't want to hurt the sacred emotions of people related to this holy pond but if you ask medically...I don't think it would be hygienic to take a bath in pond because the water is accumulated and all the dirt is flown in this pond only...even human waste ...so it's your personal decision.....OM NAMAH SHIVAYA

Place is good some new things are under construction but the lake looks polluted as you can see in the images. Water snake was there so be very carefull if you are planning to take bath.

Beautiful place. But you can see how humans polluted the pond. It must be kept unpolluted. As of it is important for Hindu culture.

Religious pond. People use to take bath here.
But this pond is full of waste and water is also not clean.
