What is so fascinating about this temple is, the statue of Nandi, Tortoise and Ma Parvati are in straight line whereas the Shivling is in the right. As narrated by a devotee, resident of Gotri gaon, the Shivling is shifting right (north direction) due to which the temple had to be rebuilt during Sayajirao Gaekwad's rein. Actually this entire stretch of land (temple& lake) belonged to someone from Gotri but as Maharaja Sayajirao was very particular abou tax, to avoid it, this land was marked to be used for cow herding. So this area opposite Gotri village was developed only recently by Vadodaa corporation.
The temple has two areas. Outside the garb gruh there is laxmi yantra in the four walls. There is a huge Hanuman idol as well and people viit there to offer oil on Saturdays.
Every morning and evening the aarti is done along with the beats of "Nagada" and bells. The temple is well maintained.
Often religious ceremonies for shrad takes place behind the temple.
During amavaas, Saturday and Tuesday, many people or ther to feed the crows.
Worrth visiting.
In the temple board it is written
"Akal mrityu vo maare jo karya kare chandaal ka,
Kaal uska kya kare jo bhakt ho mahakal ka!"
Om Namah Shivaay!
