Guru Dattatreya Bhagwan (God) has been here for a long time for meditation.

If you coming by train get down at Junagadh Station and catch a bus/Auto from there to reach the mountain.

From there we have ropeway till Ambaji temple i.e at 5000 steps and from there we need to go by walk to reach Dattatreya temple.

We have lodges, in Dharamshala near the mountain but during peak time try to make your stay plan at Junagadh itself.

Temple is located on Girnar mountain at 3295 ft above sea level and at 9999 steps . We need to cross 3 Hills to reach this temple

It's very crowded on Shivarathri and During peak time, we have a separate route to come down which is laid around the mountain and total steps will be around 25000 including ascending and descending

We have a Ropeway facility till Ambaji temple only after that next 5000 steps need to go by walk to reach Dattatreya temple.

During Shivarathri or peak time, we need to stand in long queues to get our turn for the ropeway.

Food stalls, water, and other refreshment are available throughout the journey.

People are friendly over here and the Gujrat police force will be safeguarding this place.

It was an excellent experience climbing the hills. it's Worth a visiting once in life.

During normal days, the Dattatreya temple closes at 12 midnight and opens in the morning at 5:30 am.

During Normal days, on average a person can take around 6 to 7 hrs. to climb 10000 steps, and during Peak hours or festival time it takes 12-15 hours to finish 25000 steps ascending and descending

On normal days the shops along the climbing path are generally closed by 9:00 pm and again start opening by 2 or 3 am at the night.

On Poornima days the temple is open throughout the night so no problem. It's an adventurous trip and experiences the mesmerizing atmosphere

We have network issues over here so plan accordingly.

Try to climb the mountain early in the morning or during winter.

There are some experiences which cannot be described in words. When you will climb 10000 steps to reach there, you will feel the same. All your stress, fatigue and tiredness will be vanished when you'll found yourself at this place. Only mountains and lush green forest everywhere. Jai Girnar!!! Har Har Mahadev!!!

One needs to climb the 9999 steps to reach the final summit. Girnar Mountain is a sacred place for both Digambar and Shwetambar Jains. Amba Mata Temple Gorakshanath Temple and Dattatreya Temple are the major pilgrimage sites for the Hindu pilgrims.

Visited Shri Dattatray Temple at Girnar today. Located on the peak of the mountain. Holy place. One should be visit this place whenever u r around Junagad or doing pilgrimage tour of Gujarat specially Saurashtra. U can start early in the morning or take 7.00 am first rope way ride so that u can come back around 1 pm at foothill.

Awesome place... 10000 steps to reach the main temple ... It will take 4-6 hours to reach the main temple depends on your speed 😉 One can start midnight & reach early morning at the top, so you can experience beautiful view of sunrise... These is the second time of mine to visit the temple... Enjoy 🚩🚩🚩

All your perserverence of climbing 9,999 steps attains its fruitfulness. When nature has so much to offer we just have to follow the path to reach its gratest creations. We started our Journey at 5.30 AM and reached the top at 12 PM. We stopped first at Girnar Mandan Neminath Dada- the peacefulness of thisplace can not be described in words. those cold breezes, freezing flooring and calm face of lord . BEST experience ever. Next stop was ambaji , followed by Guru Gorakhnath and Guru dattatrey. While descing we had prasad/lunch at Kamandal Kund. All the path was perfectly lit even in nights. Foodstalls ,water and other refreshment are available throughtout the journey. After descending for 5000 steps we took Ropeway. The experience of ropeway is one of a kind. to make a feasible way for fellow people who cannot take so many steps- its blessing for all. One must do all these life expeirinece when your legs and kness are working fine . Its way beyond our imagination

Very nice but hard to climb place. In total 9999 steps to climb. If you want you can skip first 6000 steps and use rope way.

Start your climbing early in the morning. I started this at 2 in the morning and reached at summit about 7 am. One can see beuty of the nature from here.

While descending I completed only 4000 steps and then took ropeway.

One of the holiest place for Lord Dattatraya devotees. I have heard lots of magical experiences and motivating stories from the Datta Bhakts. This place is truly magical and offers you a different divine vibe and spiritual energy.

One can climb all 10000 steps to reach the peak or can skip 5000 steps by opting Ropeway services.

It is recommended to carry a wooden stick as it gets bit tougher while climbing.

Doli services is also available
