This Hanumanji temple is considered most holy and sacred. It is among the more prominent ones in the Swaminarayan

Sampraday. The image of Hanuman was installed by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami on Ashwini vadi pancham - savant 1905 (as per Hindu calandar). The image of this temple is said to be so powerful that a mere look at it by people affected by evil spirits, drives the evil spirits out of the people affected. Sarangpur is easily reached by bus or car, as it is only 82 km from Bhavnagar. There can be a long wait at the temple gate sometimes, mainly on Saturdays. The temple is really big and spacious, and the statue of Lord Hanuman is really impressive. Make sure to collect the holy water from the well. There are counters where you can pay

your donations against a receipt for the same. You will also be given a plasticbag containing prasad in the form of sukhdis, a Gujarati sweet. Thetemple was renovated recently. Food is

served free to all visitors at the temple’s dining room. This dining room is run by the temple’s trust as well as the Swaminarayana temple located in the same complex. Around 5,000 people take prasad in the form of lunch daily. This figure will be at least double on Saturdays. Booklets of Hanuman Chalisa are available in all forms and sizes at very nominal rates. There is a dharmshala located near the gate of the temple, where the people can stay overnight if they wish. The temple hours are 6 am to 12 noon, 3 pm to 9 pm every day. Buses are available from all the main cities of Gujarat

Sanangpur Hanuman Temple.

Very popular among devotees of Hanumanji.

On auspicious days and Saturdays it is very crowded.

On the days it gets crowded, it is recommended to go very early in the day otherwise you will have to park your vehicle very far and walk up-to a kilometer or more.

Samangpur hanumanji ki Jai 🙏🏻

Prasad (food) Is available free of cost.

TL;DR:
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FACE A HUGE CROWD OF PEOPLE, THEN DON'T VISIT ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY!

The road from rajkot to botad is not at all developed properly by the temple authorities. There are no sign boards for directions, some of the roads are very narrow, bumpy and rough. It requires immediate maintenance. Despite the fact that the temple has recently gained popularity, they aren't doing anything for its customers, ahem, devotees.

However the parking area is huge, which is a plus point. ➕
Still when I went on a Sunday it was very difficult to find a vacant parking space 🅿.

The temple premises are Spread over a wide area, having a lot of amenities - donation counter, a main office, canteen, gardens, stalls and shops. It's all good, until you enter the temple 🤮

There is no systematic way of entering and exiting the temple. There's a huge clowd entering, and a small fraction of it exiting. There are no rails inside for people to walk systematically, in a line.

The ugly part :
1. The temple was supposed to give peace. However, the throng of people pushing each other to get a glimpse of the Lord is no way to attain peace. To make matters worse, the guards give at max 3 seconds to see the Idol. Then you are forced to move away.
2. There's a hanuman statue right in front of the main temple. The temple authorities don't even care to cut the shrub which is blocking the view of the majestic idol. The worst part is that right near the idol's holy feet, people have thrown plastic garbage and SPAT PAN! Also, in the adjoining swaminarayan temple there's a huge embossed feet of Lord swaminarayan. Not even a meter away from it have people spat pan and discarded garbage. Unbelievable? Go visit it once 😈

Overall its a "kasth" temple. Unless the temple authorities take steps to solve these issues.

It is a very huge and organized Hanumanji's temple. It's nearest railway station is botad. The Hanumanji is decorated every day in different themes. The rooms there are very well maintained. There is also food provided on behalf of temple which is ok. It is believed that Hanumanji actually stays in this temple. It also has Swaminarayan's temple and garden area. Truly a must visit temple.
