Nice place for devotees of lord shiva. You can experience peace here. The temple premise is really good and organised. It is situated on the bank of Sabarmati river which gives a beautiful view.As the Shivling is white so the temple is known as DHOLESHWAR MAHADEV

A historical temple besides sabarmati river lies just 25 kms from Ahmedabad. Google shows the way.

5 🌟 for this historic temple which is shown in photos attached. A small but striking balanced structure all around the shivlinga. The dome and small idols adore inner and outer walls of the temple.

1 🌟 for the responsible persons whose selfishness and greediness has led to building their own abode all around the temple. It's so much that on ground floor you hardly have space for pradakshina and first floor almost touches the temple dome and structure. The photos display the same.

They have enough space around the temple. Why not build their requirements a bit away from temple and let original god breathe fresh air and see open surrounding and have river's darshan. Pray Lord Shiva enlighten them on this matter and wish for a miracle to happen so that devotees are able to see and praise the magnitude of original temple. Presently it's shrouded, engulfed, devoured, shrunk, pushed and strangled by the side structures ripping from all sides and angles.

Else ample space for parking and have a gaushala too. A visit in monsoon will be lively with river's flowing at both ends.

So do visit and have darshan of this historical temple and let Shiva God appear in their dreams and enlighten them on above highlighted matters. View Aarti timings. Conch is blown majestically.

Enjoy and be blessed.

Nice place to visit. Spiritual and surrounded by natural beauty with lots of greenary and a river downstairs.

A place to visit away from the crowded city where you can just sit and enjoy nature and spend time in the divine place of lord Shiva.

Must visit if yii love nature and birds. They do have gaushala there which is nice.

Nice Temple to go especially in Shravan maas there will be many of the worships you can get to see. Situated at the banks of the river sabarmati. a really peaceful place to be. You can go down to the ghat of sabarmati. The temple is well maintained. They are maintaining very nicely with a spacious parking plot and clean area. Especially during the festival seasons, you will see the local shops too. Recommended to all

We can't rate Shiv temples. Dholeshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient temple which is mentioned in the Shiv Puran and is believed to be the only temple built by Lord Indra as per hindu myth. There is a mythical story that in the ancient ages a shepherd observed his cow giving milk at a particular place which then turned out to be Shivlinga, a white Shivlinga. The colour gives it the name Dholeshwar. The major worships are done on the day of Mahashivratri and also Shravan. The temple is situated on the banks of the Sabarmati river. The ambience and culture of the temple makes it a unique religious and tourist spot of the city.

Pauranik Landmark shivji bhagwan temple, Located at sabarmati river banks. Mandir has havan hall with four vedic doors on each side, bird sanctuary, cowpen/gaushala, nice children play ground near temple, large parking lot. Good place to visit to get away with busy City Life. There are peacocks and other exotic birds seen around the premises of temple. Gives you feelings of quiet villege life.
