Ramakrishna Mission

Visited the Ramakrishna Temple on 12th & 13th of October... Beautiful Temple & premise. Temple hall is huge with height of almost 25 feets which gives hugeness to entire structure. It also has a balcony from where you can see Murti of Ramkrishna Paramhans. They also have a huge library consisting religious & other books. You can also buy books published by Ashram over the years. Wish we could have the one in Navi Mumbai too..

A great place of Service, spiritual, religious, cultural, intellectual, medical and what not? It's library, value education, relief services, TB Clinic and other allied medical services are like Oasis amidst desert for those who are economically weak.

Nice,peace area ,but there is no sitting arrangement in open area for rest in summer and rainy season because the mission is in wast area.parking area is exist on last that is behind the main hall.The exit and entry for vehical is one passage which is not sufficient.

Ramkrishna Mission was started by Swami Vivekananda. This place is very peaceful. There are many books to read and a good place to stay. You can visit if you are near pahadganj and Karol bagh. And enjoy the vibe. I think you can have food if you inform them early. There is a metro station(RK ashram Marg) gate directly coming to the entrance.

Situated right next to the RK Ashram Marg metro station, Ramakrishna Mission provides a serene atmosphere which one can rarely imagine in the bustling neighborhood of Paharganj. The temple architecture represents a style that's typical of quite a few Ramakrishna Missions across the country. The garden is a treat to the eye. The shrine is spacious and has idol of Sri Ramakrishna at the center with images of the Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda on either side. It's recommended to watch the evening arati. One can sit and meditate inside the temple. The mission has a very well stocked library and an equally good book store. Apart from various social services, the mission holds classes and programs to spread spiritual knowledge. One can meet the secretary of the Ashram on prior appointment. Its recommended to check the Ashram timing from the website before visiting.

This place is situated close to the metro station- Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, which itself is named after the place.
When it comes to having peace and having to meditate, this is among the best places. Moreover, the bookshop there is wonderful.
The best part is that they have a 'General Library' where you can spend time talking to books :)
