Solah Khamba Mandir (16 pillar temple) at Barsoor in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, is an archaeological heritage which is in dire need of conservation. Unexplored Bastar along with Barsoor Tourism Group and the conservation architects has taken a step forward for its conservation. Due to the 16 stone pillars in a row, it is known as Solah Khamba Mandir.
Incredible Barsoor

It is said in Barsur that Banasura built 147 temples and 147 ponds. Four temples named 32 Khamba 16 Khamba, 8 Khamba and 4 Khamba were built together in Barsur. This is one of them. It is a very visible temple, but is on the verge of collapse due to lack of care. This temple is a Shiva temple and has been in the way of restoration.

An archaeological relic in dilapidated condition. Seems in very pathetic condition and very much neglected by competent authorities. Needs serious restoration as it contains the essence of marvellous heritage of ancient architectural design. Besides, other temples contemporary of this temple are very well maintained.
